The Team Cager brings together boys from all walks of life, race, ethnicity and experience to learn about basketball and the game of life. Members of Team Cager will also participate in other activities of MTXE. The Foundation’s overall programs are designed to help "move today’s youth from the bench to the starting line-up of life" and the Cagers’ training and playing experience will provide each boy with the confidence and challenges to "make the move".

The objective in YBOA and AAU is to get points from placed finishes to qualify to go to state and national competitions. These are lofty goals for the VA Cagers.  More importantly, they will learn to implement the skills taught in practice or games and translate them into everything else they want to do in life.

Now the Foundation is seeking funding for the team’s permanent and operating budgets for the 2006 Season. While the team itself uses fund raising events to reduce costs, the high cost of registration, uniforms, and travel can not be met without additional support from the community.

The MTXE Foundation is seeking all levels of support for the Virginia Cagers Basketball team. Please consider any one of the following giving levels:

Full Court Press Sponsor	$5000.00	Sponsors name or company logo will be on the team’s warm-up, shirting shirts, and sweat suites and team jackets. Your logo will be listed on the MTXE and Team Cager websites and in our news letter for one year. In addition, your company will also receive signage and two (2) foursomes at the annual golf tournament in October.
Three Quarter Court Press Sponsor	$2,500.00	Sponsors name or logo will be on the travel bags, team travel oxfords shirts and team towels. Your company logo will be listed on the MTXE and Team Cager websites and in our news letter for one year. In addition your company will also receive signage and a foursome at the annual golf tournament in October.
Half Court Press Sponsor	$1,500.00	Sponsors name or company logo will be on the Team Cagers hats and T-shirts. Your company logo will be listed on the MTXE and Team Cager websites and in our news letter for one year.
Match-up Zone Sponsor	$1000.00	Your company will have the choice to place your logo or company name on one of the following: 8oz water bottles (that will be sold as a fundraiser), hand towels, travel bags, or seat cushions (that will be sold as a fundraiser)
Man-to-Man Sponsor	$500.00	This level provides a scholarship for one disadvantaged youth to play on Team Cager. The scholarship will cover basic costs and offset tournament registration fees for that player. Companies or individuals may sponsor more than one player for the season. Your name will be listed on the MTXE and Cager website as a supporter of the program and you will receive our newsletter and team updates.
Sixth Man Sponsor	$250.00-$25.00	Your contribution will help offset team expenses to participate in league and tournament play in the 2004/2005 season. Your name will be listed on the MTXE and Cager website as a supporter of the program and you will receive our news letter and team updates.
